Dovestar shook her head and smiled. "Fine." she mewed. She croutched by the stream again, watching one of the larger fish. It swam back and forth with the other fish. He ventured too close. Dovestar's paw darted out, and scooped the fish out of the water. Before killing it, she scooped a second fish out of the water, which landed not far from the first fish. She raced over to kill them before they fell back into the stream, to swim away. She killed them swiftly, as not to cause suffering. She set them with her first fish, then waited for Darkmist to catch his fish.

Darkmist quickly jumped to where Dovestar was a minute before. He could see the fish scattering. His paw darted into the icey water once again. He hooked one fish and threw it out of the water. He went to catch another but missed. The fish were all gone and he had only caught one fish. He sighed as he jumped on the shiney prey, killing it swiftly.

Dovestar gave him a small smile. She padded over and licked him quickly on the ear, "Come on, let's get back to camp." She blinked slowly before fetching her fish. She trotted off into the trees. The scent of the fish wafted up her nose. She shook her head in disgust. Another reason she did not like fish; they smelled odd. She looked over her shoulder, back at Darkmist. She motioned with a flick of her tail to fallow. She wanted to take another run with him before they got back to camp.

Darkmist smiled at Dovestar. He quickly picked up his fish and followed her through the forest. The fish made his mouth water, which reminded him that he was a little thirsty. Darkmist didn't say anything though. He could tell that Dovestar wanted something, but he couldn't tell what though.

When Dovestar saw that Darkmist was fallowing her, she ran. She flicked her tail at him, motioning him to come. She wanted to speak, to laugh, to cry in amusement. But her mouth was too full of fish to talk. The trees flashed passed her. Light flickered onto her white fur. Snow scattered as her paws made their way through the snow. She leaped over a fallen log. She had leaped over it many a time before. She knew exactly where she would land. She landed on a flat rock on the other side. She waited for Darkmist.

Darkmist was suprised, but he quickly followed. He saw Dovestar running and he followed. He saw her jump over the log. He thought she kept running, so once he jumped over the log he continued to run. Not having enough time to stop, he ran right into her. The fish went flying all over the place. Darkmist couldn't help but laugh.

Dovestar laughed. She rolled in the snow again, and flicked some more snow at Darkmist, before gathering her fish again. She flicked Darkmist playfully with her tail, then continued on. She shook her pelt free of the snow. She wondered what they would do when they returned to camp...

"Sorry." Darkmist meowed before quickly gathering his fish and running after Dovestar again. He wished he could just drop the prey off with her, then run back into the forest and have more fun with her. He knew that wouldn't happen though.
